Particularly heavy transshipment goods are often transported by ship. But a whole crane – transported in a fully assembled state – is something out of the ordinary. When the forwarder is also the final customer, the wheels of logistics are truly turning in the background.
Liebherr and Rhenus Midgard have been working together for many years and, despite the proven reliability of the previous crane, after 20 years it was time to instal a more modern model at the Dradenau terminal in Hamburg. Rhenus Midgard organised the transport itself together with additional units and is now pleased to have a new mobile harbour crane with improved performance and fewer emissions.
